But no, no no no no no.  This is not a Marvel event seven years in the making.

Rather this is exoskeletal glove that allows you to go into a controlled slide at higher speeds than you could before.

Two things about this product:

1.  This doesn’t help those people that this unfortunate incident has already happened to

2.  Everyone that rides a motorcycle dangerously does so because they’ve never gotten into an accident before.

I once had a woman actually say to me, “I’ve never hit you before, so I’m not going to slow down.”  People are stupid.

P.S.  I think the Iron Fist did go into a controlled slide and that’s how he got his powers.  Check out this video and look at the burn marks on his hand.  Too bad he didn’t use the Iron Fist Glove.
